Roger + Natalie Married!

Here they are! Roger and Natalie were married on November 21st, 2008 at the World Forestry Center in Portland Oregon. First off, what an amazing place to have a wedding! Being a native Oregonian I particularly appreciated being able to shoot an event at a place that I went to as a wee lad. Both the bride and groom looked wonderful and the night couldn't have been more perfect. This week the photos will be of various aspects of that wonderful day. We'll start with: Details. So much planning is put into a wedding that I feel it's important to capture every little detail that makes a wedding so special. Enjoy!

Sneak Peek- Roger and Natalie's Wedding

Here is a sneak peek of a wedding I had the pleasure of shooting. I thought that the original photo had this "old timey" feel so I went with my gut and took that theme a little further. :)
As you can tell by going through my portfolio I tend to not be too extreme with my editing. Any work I do in Aperture and Photoshop tends to be on the more warm and bright side. It was so much fun to be a little more artistic and different. Most of the photos I took of the wedding will be fairly traditional but I couldn't help myself with this one. :)

This weeks photos are from an event I shot last week for the Wilsonville Youth Sports banquet. The grainy contrasty black and white look is inspired by the amazing work of Leo Patrone (is contrasty even a word? :). It was such a fun event to shoot and I think it shows in the pics. Enjoy!

I recently was asked to shoot a cooperate event at Adidas for the international press to introduce some of their new NBA shoes. Any one who knows me knows what a huge basketball freak I am so the chance to photograph an event like this was a dream come true (just short of actually shooting a Blazer game:). Not only was the presentation absolutely spectacular but a few of the Blazers were invited to meet some of the press and shoot some hoops. The next several days will feature photos of the event.
